Trending-Design details

march_main

This past year at the design fairs and home shows we have really noticed design details being key for adding that more personal stylish touch to your room. Bespoke handles, fixtures, fittings through to taps and hinges are all being pushed in texture and tone. From rose golds to brushed golds through to matt black on black.

Mix your materials

geometric_brass_bath_feet

Create a colour palette for your room by pulling together samples of paint colours and tiles to help you visualise how it will all work. Then add the finishing off factors like a brushed gold tap like above. This mixed with patterned tiles is really a statement look that is trending!

Mixing up metals is becoming a hot trend, don’t be scared to mix brushed chrome and brushed golds with your fixtures and fittings. Mixed metals have been a highlight for 2017. Fixtures are coming in different colours and metal effects so check out the full ranges to create new looks.

Matte Black

The smallest of details from handles to hinges are being made subtle stylish delights now with mixed materials. Here’s the matte black fixtures on a walk in wet room which add that little luxury final touch and attention to the design scheme.

Matte black is still very current and is transcending into the highstreets now with black on blacks becoming more accessible within tap design and fixture/fitting design. Here is a recent matte black tap which adds a second glance look in this modern bathroom.

#nationaltileday

Set Visions knows tiles. We work with national tile suppliers across the country and beyond creating aspirational imagery for print, brochure and media campaigns. As a creative image supplier for kitchens and bathrooms companies we incorporate tiles in the majority of our set designs. Essentially, tiles are our bread and butter.

Pix CGI is a perfect fit for tiles. Our CGI artists expertly mirror the shape, texture and lustre in our renders. With just a couple of samples we can create images without the restriction of scale, environment or costly product deliveries.

Capture, our photography studio also specialises in lifestyle tile shots, developing trends with our clients to deliver images that have a great commercial quality. Here’s a selection of our favourite shots illustrating the beauty of ceramic, glass and stone surface design.

Creative product renders

Do you need creative images of your product but don’t have physical samples? Set Visions CGI is the answer.

creative_cgi_product_office _chairs

One of our long standing CGI clients recently challenged our Pix department to create striking concept renders that sit within their brand guidelines.

The product designs have very precise technical specifications which our 3D modelling team were able to recreate perfectly in CGI. In this case physical samples of the product were unavailable so the team modelled from technical drawings and used specific fabrics from our vast library.

Another benefit of CGI for this project is the ability to update a fabric or finish with the click of a button, allowing us to create numerous iterations without the added expense of manufacture and shipping.

The images support Bluespot’s Seating Collection targeted marketing campaign and are successfully being used across print and media platforms.

Sophisticated muted metallic mix

marble lamps copper metallic floor staning table.

This trending look is all about the muted metallic, mixing in a calm sophisticated way. Last year, strong, bold copper took the high street by storm, but this year we’ll see blush, muted copper mixing with calming golds. This look is all about mixing metallics and harmoniously integrating with the interior design as trend accent.

Mixing metallics as a focal point

Coper bath blush pink tiles grey kitchen

Every room needs a focal point and within the bathroom which has to be the statement bath. Why not get ahead of the rest with a brushed copper or gold bathtub. Offset it with a muted blush pink or grey colour scheme to create a calming look.

Here is an example of the overall trend, with blush pinks and light grey walls adding a softer approach to golds and copper propping. Here mixing metallics in a subtle way can be seen with the tile choice complementing the metallic propping.

Metallic accent in the home

Copper splashback chrome curtain poles

Within kitchens it’s not just the accessories which hint metallics. The big trend coming through uses metallic splashbacks which we will see more of in 2017. It’s a bold look we’ve seen in bespoke kitchens, but look out for some new year contenders who are getting in on the action with more affordable versions!

If large statement metallics are too much for your sense of style why not try simple accessories of the mixed muted metallic trend? A subtle way to add metallics to your home is by adding metals to parts of the room always left until last for decorating, such as curtain poles. See how these muted metals work together in complementary tones, work these across the home.

Do you have an Eye for Design?

How do you give customers confidence when buying online? By allowing them to visualise what it is they want to buy in a context of their choosing.

iDesign is Set Vision’s CGI Visualiser, developed with a national tile supplier to enable their customers to visualise tile selections and design layouts online. This gives customers greater confidence when purchasing because the colour combinations, styles and patterns can all be visualised, risk free and in the comfort of their own home.

Black handless kitchen tiles

Let’s get technical for a second… Our Visualise team accurately process each individual tile to generate 3D CGI file that is loaded into our 3D Visualiser software. This accurately re-creates texture, hue and reflectivity to give a true photorealistic representation of the tile which is shown in a virtual living space. This means online customers can bring their design ideas to life thanks to our specialist CGI visualisation techniques…voila!

Tile Giant remain ahead of the competition with customer confidence boosted by the interactive design choices and product selection that the Set Visions Visualiser provides.

Try our Visualiser at tilegiant.co.uk/idesign and show off your design talents. Don’t forget to share your ideas on Facebook and Twitter!

Vlog-Muted Pastel Hues

Hi Joel Young here, the CGI Stylist at Set Vision and welcome to our next VLog entry!

This month I’ve been looking at muted pastel hues which are set to be seen in different trends across the world of interior design for 2017, including the Terracotta and Desert Escape trends. These muted pastel hues are great because they have a natural base which allows them to work as a collective or as a basis with a diverse pop colour.

Why not grab a brew and a biscuit, sit back and relax and enjoy our latest VLog!
