As the nation falls in love with the Danish
‘Hygge’ home movement - if you have not heard of it yet well you will now - after
all, Denmark was voted one of the happiest places to live, and with this
philosophy in life we totally agree.
In essence ‘Hygge’ means creating a cosy, homely, warm atmosphere whilst
enjoying the good things in life with good people around you. Sit back and take in our trending guide whilst
enjoying a warming cup of tea, the perfect Scandinavian way.
As the nights close in for these wintry months
it’s time to cozy up in thick, cable knit throws, add plenty of rustic charm
with baskets to store and accessorize - perfect for the cozy, rustic look.
Plenty of candles should adorn your ‘Hygge’ home,
creating a warm friendly feel. Lanterns are perfect, style them up in sizes to
create depth. Mix woods and chromes to get a modern/rustic feel.
The living room is a social space that welcomes
the family and friends in for an evening of relaxation and quality times. It’s
key to echo that friendly feel with layered up cushions and throws for guests
to snuggle up on the sofa. Create a welcoming space with scented candles and a
good selection of coffee table books.
After an evening spent enjoying simple life
pleasures in your beautiful home, why not take a calming retreat to your
bedroom? Making this space ease you in
to rest with its deep atmospheric walls and subtle choice in lighting will
create a perfect space to snuggle up and read a book.

Set Visions photorealistic CGI is unique. We offer emotive,
accurate and persuasive imagery, giving your customer an aspirational glimpse
of a desirable lifestyle. Reliance of CG
visuals in the kitchen industry is ever increasing. Pix is Set Visions’ CGI department and we
relish the challenge and in an oversaturated market, it is time to offer your customers
Understanding the bigger picture
We understand the importance of customer trust and we understand
products by building relationships with clients. The kitchen facia is always at
the forefront of any kitchen design. Our creative team construct the image
using trend research, architectural references and realistic set design. They
produce an entire story based around the facia and develop customer personas to
ensure your target market can relate to the imagery on a social, economic or
geographical level. Engaging with your customer through true photorealistic
imagery will sway the purchase decision. Detail shots and cameos are perfect to
illustrate the craftsmanship of your product design.
Our set design and prop choices are carefully considered
with an extensive library to choose from, creating a bespoke look is easy.
Detailed mood boards are created directing the design, trend and art direction.
We relish the small details to make the bigger picture.
To get us started we just require a facia sample or drawings and a
Supplier costs are dramatically reduced
as production is no longer delayed waiting for expensive samples to be
imported. The impact on the environment is minimal as wastage is slashed which
cannot be said for traditional set build and deconstruction.
The Set Visions CGI team is made up of a
great pool of talent from trained studio photographers, interior design trend
spotters to self-taught CGI masters. Our combined history and industry
knowledge is key to the consistency and precision of our renders.

We've been championing the Mixed Materials Trend during 2016
in a lot of our Kitchen images and we believe this trend will only grow in
strength during 2017. By
bringing natural materials into our home we add a connection to a lifestyle
that celebrates and embraces nature and its unique imperfections. Below are some of our favourite
Surface design that
The Stone Blue facia utilises the latest technology in surface
design. The textured surface of the wood grain effect makes it a great solid wood replica
with all the benefits of a laminate. This has been layered with tonal marble
and cool greys for an elegant and refined look.
By using the textured Walnut facia in the industrial style kitchen,
warmth has been added to the palette. The tactile mix of textured Walnut, embossed
tin wall tiles with textured slate lends personality to the clutter free
and unifying the look
The skylight in the Oak Shaker kitchen is divided by textured
wooden beams and exposed sandstone, creating contrasts with the slick finish of
the painted plaster. What we choose to expose and hide creates an interesting
commentary for any contemporary kitchen.
Mixing materials doesn’t always require contrasting textures. The
matt doors, matt walls and semi-matt floor tiles combine the same texture but
still allow to stand out in the kitchen. The use of one grey hue ties the look

Pix has the solution to effectively
marketing your sofas online - CGI. Choices are now made with persuasive
photorealistic imagery, lifestyle brands like Ikea and Sofology are already
making the change. It’s time to consider how Pix CGI can benefit eCommerce
retailers and consumers. Although it might be comfortable, can you afford to be
left sitting still?
Low cost does not mean low quality
Set Visions only require fabric
samples with drawings/snap shots or an isolated sample product to start
production. Our software lets us adapt
and multiply renders from a single model giving the flexibility to easily
illustrate every sofa combination within a range. Using an automated rendering solution we also
deliver images at the highest quality at a competitive cost.
Aspirational lifestyle shots are easily
produced in CGI if you know how
Your consumers need to be able to
trust what they see as the purchase is not only a financial commitment but
emotional one. Sofas are key to family life, social gatherings and movie nights
with a lot people to keep comfortable! Using poor quality imagery reliant on
photoshop mock ups can have a negative effect on the buying decision,
persuading people to search out competitors who have a range of photorealistic
images for every sofa.
If they can see it, they can buy it
Another great benefit is seeing your
product within a living room gives scale and context, enabling consumers to buy
into the lifestyle not just the product. Detail shots of tassel and tuft
provide additional inspiration of the product design features.
Pix ensures your images are future
proof as they can be updated with the latest fabric or scatter cushion -
keeping you on top of developing trends and retain your competitive edge. For
more info go to our CGI website Pix or give us a call on 01274
610600 for an informal chat to see how our CGI can benefit you.

Making an entrance is key to anyone with a sense of style. Let the front door offer a warm welcome to
your stylish home. Set Visions CGI
department recently worked on these beautiful doorways in three distinct styles
to inspire your style statement
1. Reflect the architecture
For this Georgian town house, we designed the CG set around
this fabulous door. The use of symmetry
in the architecture is reflected in the product design. The pillar box red glazing mixed with the
curved design adds personality to the entrance.
2. Show your personality
In this 1930s suburb setting our Interior Stylist focused on
individual details to personalise this render. The daring pistachio green, polished brass and
red stained glass detail sit perfectly together contrasting the white painted
brickwork. We styled a mix of CGI
foliage and studio photography to maintain the photorealism in the imagery.
3. Perfect fit
Less is more with this classic country cottage. The subtle style of the wood grained T&G
door and bevelled glass lend an authentic crafted feel giving the shot added
depth and persona working together to create the classic country look.
Have a chat with one of our CG project managers or go to our
website to see how our interior stylists and CGI illustrators can help develop
your bespoke product range into great visual selling tools.

A recent technical
challenge was set to our CG department…Can we demonstrate the feasibility of
showcasing a frozen ice lolly product in a variety of images? Traditional
photography methods would have meant placing the frozen lolly in direct
lighting for extended periods leaving a frustratingly narrow window for
capturing the shot before the product had to be replaced.
The idea of using
Pix CGI meant our unparalleled photorealism would allow the client to show the
construction and quality of the product whilst keeping the image looking
refreshing and appetising. The ability to deconstruct and re construct
the product could simply not be done without the use of CGI.
After a delicious study of the behaviour of the ice
lolly…the surface, reflection, lighting reaction we recreate the materials in
layers, addressing each physical aspect of the reference based on direct
observation. We digitally sculpted the finished result with the lighting and
art direction integral to the feel of a shot, allowing us to create a striking
editorial image. The beauty of CGI is allowing us push and develop aesthetics
for a strong campaign.
